Become the Green Fire!
When Orwell unmasks the rot of duckspeak*, when Bradbury shields the book from the flame, when Hugo declares that a school opens where a prison closes, when we—Human Beings—expose, through metaphor, the corruption of our kind—we are not merely telling stories. We are drawing swords. We are defending the mind.
We are reviving the Gospel—not the doctrine, but the root: godspel. The good word. The binding word. The living word.
Keep this close—it matters. Gospel is not a possession. It does not belong to those who seek to colonize language with their own imaginarium, symbolism, narrative, and rule set. Gospel is not a brand.
Gospel is the refinement of the word. It is the explanation that illuminates. It is the sun of the mind.
Let me say it again: Gospel is not the property of the few. The clearer the word, the more gospel it becomes.
To call something “gospel” while cloaking it in obscurity is not gospel—it is its opposite. It is a trick of the mind, a betrayal of clarity. It is anti-gospelling.
When language is drowned in noise, we become beasts. Human kind decomposes into humus—mere soil. And kind, once meaning gentle, noble, capable of care, is lost. Kill the word, and you kill the mind. Kill the mind, and you kill the kind in human. What remains is cruelty. Reduction. A bestiary.
It’s not just the idiom that’s colonized. We are blended into garments that serve exploiters, stitched into syntax that betrays our kind.
Duckspeak is a curse. It severs soul from speech.
There is a flame we must carry. Hand to hand. Mind to mind. Book to book. The flame of clarity. Of resistance. Of voice unmanufactured.
Until humanity returns. Until language lifts instead of cages.
As Morrissey sang: There is a light that never goes out.
May the Gospel of the Green Fire guide us home.
*Duckspeak is a term coined by George Orwell in Nineteen Eighty-Four. It refers to a mode of speech that is automatic, thoughtless, and purely propagandistic—like the quacking of a duck.
